About Us
Joe Disanza, the man behind Maine Contract Flooring, kicked off his journey in the flooring industry back in 1977 when he took on the role of general manager for the Maine branch of Circle Floors. There, he led the show for two solid decades and was active across several departments. In 1997, Circle Floors was handed over to Shaw Industries, and that’s when Joe decided to start his own gig—Maine Contract Flooring.
David Baker, after almost two decades as an outside salesman for industrial process equipment in sunny California, returned to his roots in Maine in the year 2000 and marked his entry into the flooring business. He rolled up his sleeves, learned the ropes as an estimator and purchaser, and also played a role in warehouse management. In 2004, David joined forces with Dan Blier and Jerry Domingue at Mainly Tile Inc., donning the hat of an estimator and project manager. Finally in 2009, he found his home at Maine Contract Flooring.
Meanwhile, Jerry’s journey took him through the printing business and the world of general construction, where he dabbled in remodeling and house building. However, his heart led him to the flooring business, and in 2004, he joined forces with Mainly Tile Inc. alongside Dan Blier and David Baker. In 2009, Jerry charted his own course by launching Top Dog Flooring. He ran the show there until 2013 when he received a certain phone call from David Baker, wherein they decided to join forces in pursuing ownership of Maine Contract Flooring together.
2016 marked a significant chapter in the story of Maine Contract Flooring. That’s the year when David Baker and Jerry Domingue officially took the reins from Joe Disanza. What set them apart was a dedication to exceptional customer service and a relentless pursuit of product and installation knowledge. These qualities earned them a wide and loyal customer base.
And as the story goes, in 2022, Jerry Domingue took the wheel entirely, buying out David Baker so he could finally kick back and enjoy some well-deserved retirement.
Our company’s strength isn’t just in the quality of our work; it’s in the relationships we’ve built. We’ve got the knowledge and experience to get the job done right.
